What is RUF?

Regardless of your beliefs or doubts, RUF is a place for you to explore Christianity and grow in your understanding of who Jesus is and what it means to follow him in community with others at Penn State. We seek to be a grace-centered community on the campus, for the campus.

Thon Success!!

Thon was a great weekend for students here to get involved with their campus, and to get involved with what's going on in the world. Our desire with RUF, is that students would cast a vision with their friends that something like Thon (raising money for kids with cancer) would not be a weekend event or a feather in our cap, but a small glimpse of the way all of life should be. The Kingdom of God casts a vision before us that all things will be redeemed one day, and that invites our involvement now. It was exciting to see some students involved with RUF begin to cast that vision on their campus.

This Spring at RUF

New Place, New Time

We are changing the location of the weekly RUF meeting. Starting in January, we will no longer meet in the Einsenhower Chapel, we will be meeting in the Abba Java coffee house (at the corner of College ave and Locust Lane) on thursday nights at 7:15pm. Note the change, not wednesday's (which was aweful for everyone but Alex) but thursday evening.

Large Group

We meet every thursday evening at 7:15pm at the Abba Java coffee house. This spring we will be doing a series entitled "Investigating Jesus" through an exploration of Luke's gospel. At RUF we want you to hear about and be able to investigate Jesus in an atmosphere that allows you to listen, learn, and interact with your questions, doubts, skepticism, and brokeness. Everyone has some sort of opinion about Jesus, what is yours? We want to know, that's why if you have questions about Alex's sermons, you can text him while he is speaking, and he will get up afterwards and answer all the questions.

Small Groups

This is a great way to get plugged in to RUF, get to know people, and have conversations about life and the gospel. Small groups are small communities of people who are committed to helping each other engage the gospel of Jesus.

Haiti Relief

HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS - HOW YOU CAN HELP.

The earthquake in Haiti has left devastation on this poor island country. If you'd like to make a contribution to the relief efforts you may do so through this site (www.pca-mna.org). This is the PCA's missions page and all that you need to know can be found there. Please be in prayer for this country and the aftermath of this event!
